UN Driver – Resident Coordinator Office (Malabo)

About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Malabo is seeking a professional driver to provide safe transport for staff, visitors and cargo. The role supports the UN’s 2030 Agenda implementation by ensuring reliable mobility and logistical support for the office’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive vehicles safely for authorized personnel, including transport of cargo and hazardous goods when required.
• Deliver parcels, documents and other items between the UN office, ministries, embassies and other institutions.
• Perform minor purchases, collect urgent supplies from local vendors and handle customs formalities.
• Receive officials at the airport and assist with immigration and customs procedures.
• Maintain assigned vehicles – check oil, water, battery, brakes, perform minor repairs and keep the vehicle clean.
• Log trips, mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance activities.
• Follow accident‑reporting procedures and apply good judgment in all assignments.
• Assist with data collection, preparation of reports and updating informational material such as web pages or brochures.

Required profile

• Professional knowledge of driving rules, road conditions, safety and security awareness.
• Strong planning and organizing abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
